Tom Klingspohn is the Director of Peak Performance Ski Tours in Fernie, BC, Canada. Tom is a Level 4 Senior Ski Instructor / Level 4 Examiner (CSIA) / Level 2 High Performance Coach (CSCF) 8 year member of the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance Demonstration team. He is the Director of many ski programs, ski schools and trainer of ski instructors for 21 years. Tom and skiing partner (Simon Fowler) were the 2005 Canadian national powder 8 champions and 2 times World Powder 8 competitors. With 24 years of ski teaching and coaching experience, he is now devoting his time to those who wish to further develop their skiing skills.

Tom, originally from Edmonton, Alberta, started his ski teaching career at a local hill where he worked for one year. Quickly he decided that instruction was what he wanted to do, and moved to Banff for 8 years, teaching skiing at Lake Louise; Sunshine Village; and Norquay. He moved to Fernie in 1991, where he has made his home. With 15 years of skiing experience in Fernie Snow Valley he has come to know the ski area very well - key on big powder days! He has worked in the Southern Hemisphere for seven seasons at resorts such as Mt.Buller, Australia; Mt.Hotham, Australia; and TrebleCone in New Zealand, coaching young and old ski racers. He has also taught in Crans Montana, Switzerland; Whistler Big White, BC; and Aspen, Colorado.
